Vintage Chedeville Bb clarinet mouthpiece blank (Kaspar 13 facing)

Notes from Brad Behn:

This Chedeville blank is the same type of blank Kaspar (Cicero) used during his career as a famous mouthpiece craftsman. Indeed Kaspar used many different blanks—Riffault, Chedeville, Babbitt, and others—so it is easy to become confused by all the different playing characteristics, and levels of quality represented by the Kaspar name. But rest assured, this blank was in fact the same blank Kaspar used during his Cicero days. It represents the very best rubber of the 1950s and 1960s era and is a beautiful representation. It was refaced by me to an original copy of Kaspar's most famous 13 facing, yielding a 1.09mm tip opening and an 18mm length. Given its age, it is in remarkable condition. It has never been played, its cork is original, and it has much life to give.

Speaking of life, this mouthpiece is highly resonant, very responsive, and offers a lively and rich tone...just as Kaspar mouthpieces are supposed to. Now you can achieve that amazing Kaspar voice, without the severity of investment.
