This Selmer Table B is a good representation of the oldest and rarest of the Selmer tradition.  Only Selmer type is older!  Made in the pre-war era, this is harvested from the finest hard rod rubber - and offers a lovely full rich, deep and resonant sound.  It has a small chamber and standard bore for the era - while on the big side as modern bores go - the bore is typical of the time.  The chamber and bore in combination provide a fullness to the resonance, which creates an ease of play which is quite nice.  It is reed friendly!  This is a true collectors item.  While it is stamped "Table B" it measures a bit more open than most Bs I've measured.  This one has been refaced to 1.08mm tip with a standard 18mm length.  It plays great as is, or it can quite readily be paired up or down a few clicks as you prefer.  There's plenty of room to work, as I doubt this has been refaced more than once, So you'll have a mouthpiece for life with this one.  These are becoming quite rare, and because there was a lot of inconsistency from this era (some being too big inside the chamber) you can buy with confidence that this one will play.  It tunes well, and it sounds good.  This Selmer offers a great safe way to get into the old Vintage world without having to worry, without having to get the mouthpiece refaced...it just plays as is!
