Notes from Brad Behn:

UPDATED: Here we have a nice condition Kaspar (Cicero) clarinet mouthpiece. It doesn't have Kaspar's typical facing designation (11, 13, etc.), however it does have very nice medium-close facing of 1.02mm and 17mm in length. It was formerly owned by Ed Cabarga who was a member of the National Symphony. And it came to him from his teacher Don Carroll, who was a member of the San Francisco Symphony. It has a classic Kaspar sound, which is full with life, ring, and resonance. If you share the classic tradition of sound and desire a classic antique mouthpiece which could serve for a career (if properly cared for), then this mouthpiece could present a nice opportunity for you.

Its condition is good, however not perfect. There are slight signs of having been tweaked once or twice in its former life. There are some gentle file markings in the chamber's baffle near the bore, and the facing isn't original. I have restored it back to a typical Kaspar-style facing to bring it back to its purest form. It has a very balanced center of tone, its intonation is A=441 as is typical in original Kaspars.

PLEASE NOTE: I refaced this mouthpiece in October 2017, so it has now been updated and optimized. It should serve any player for years of professional performance. It plays much better than before and works great with medium strength reeds.
